Defined.ai Signs Lisbon’s Green Pledge for Sustainability
DefinedCrowd is participating in Lisbon’s decade-long “green pledge” (Compromisso Capital Verde Europeia 2020 – Ação Climática Lisboa 2030), strengthening our commitment to protecting the environment through sustainable business practices.
Lisbon was named the official European Green Capital 2020 in recognition of its strong record of continuous environmental improvements. Their efforts have included waste reduction and separation, sustainable transportation and energy saving measures, which all form part of a long term plan to become more eco-friendly by 2030.

As a company with a strong connection to Lisbon (our first ever R&D office was opened here), we’re delighted to see the city being recognized for its green values and actions. Representatives from our Lisbon office signed the pledge at an official ceremony held at the City Council, together with over 200 other organizations. Among them were numerous local businesses, as well as global brands with Lisbon-based offices, such as Microsoft, Nissan, Nestlé, Bankinter, IKEA, Eriksson and NOS. We’re proud to join in this collective commitment to social and environmental responsibility alongside both clients and partners.
DefinedCrowd’s global offices already have several measures in place to minimize our impact to the environment. From using mains-fed filtered water coolers, reusable bottles and refillable cereal jars; to enforcing a comprehensive recycling system, providing cotton tote bags for reduced plastic usage, and encouraging all employees to commute by public transport; we’re constantly seeking out new ways to reduce our carbon footprint and believe that every little helps.
We look forward to a new decade of enhanced eco-consciousness and will be sharing our continued efforts, as well as celebrating the creative and innovative ways in which AI is helping safeguard the planet.
