Founder and CEO Daniela Braga Wins João Vasconcelos Award – Entrepreneur of the Year 2019

The award is in honor of Startup Lisboa’s first executive director, João Vasconcelos, who was a huge contributor to the startup ecosystem in Lisbon. Startup Lisboa is a nonprofit organization that supports the creation of companies and entrepreneurs in founding stages. Their mission is to promote job creation and to contribute to the economic, urban and social vitality of Lisbon.

After difficulty finding a location for their first R&D center back in 2015, DefinedCrowd was welcomed by João to Startup Lisboa. João believed in Daniela and a year later, encouraged her to apply for Portugal Ventures, who soon after became key investors.

“If it wasn’t for João the DefinedCrowd’s technology would not have been made in Portugal.”
