This audio dataset contains 3345 hours of English Speech Data in various domains, recorded by native speakers from the UK, the US, Ireland, Australia, and India.

There are **1309 hours of English (US)** human-to-human audio with the following domain distribution per dataset:
- 321.37 hours of Banking
- 192.03 hours of Insurance
- 51.32 hours of Retail

Defined.ai creates scenarios for our crowd members to follow, which they study beforehand. They then record a conversation, one speaker playing the agent, the other speaker “playing out” the scenario with spontaneous content. The recording is done via telephony and is saved in 8khz 16 bit per channel. That content is then transcribed.

Our collection of online meeting recordings captures authentic Zoom meetings that cover topics like engineering, marketing, product, facilities, and much more. This dataset was conceived from the get-go to have privacy and consent in mind, with all participants using nicknames and giving explicit consent for their voices to be used for AI modeling purposes. Meetings are held in English by a mix of native and non-native speakers or in Portuguese by native speakers.

## About the Dataset
### 1566 hours

This audio dataset contains 1566 hours of English Speech Data in various domains, recorded by speakers from the US, UK, and India.

IVR stands for Interactive Voice Response. The Spontaneous IVR data is created by having a human respond to an IVR system. The human (playing a customer) is following simplified real-life scenarios, making a spontaneous query on the given topic. The IVR system will ask the human to repeat his/her query in 2 more different ways. The speech is then transcribed. In rare cases, the IVR system is mimicked by another human. The recording is done via telephony and is saved in 8kHz 16 bit per channel.
